The trip begins in Hurghada, so you'll need to book your arrival flight to Hurghada International Airport. The journey ends in Cairo, where you can fly home from either Cairo International Airport or Sphinx International Airport, depending on what suits you best. During the trip, we'll take a domestic flight from Hurghada to Cairo. This flight is not included, and a few weeks before departure we'll send you an email with the recommended flight so the whole group can travel together. Prices are usually between €50 and €80. Need help with your flights? We're experts at finding the best options, so just get in touch!
Yes. Most travellers can obtain a 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egypt's main airports. The cost is approximately USD 30. After confirming your booking, we'll send you all the information you need to obtain your visa on arrival or, if you prefer, apply online through the Egypt e-Visa system before your trip. We also recommend checking your country's official travel advice for the latest entry requirements before travelling.
On the 8-day trip, we'll visit Saqqara in Cairo. If you're looking for a more history-focused itinerary with visits to several of Egypt's most iconic temples, we recommend our 10-day adventure, which also includes Luxor, the country's most famous destination for ancient temples and archaeological sites.
No. This trip is suitable for all riding levels. Riders are divided into two groups according to their experience, and horses are carefully matched to each rider's ability. Throughout the rides, you'll always be accompanied by experienced guides.
Absolutely! In fact, we highly encourage it. Around 95% of our travellers join the trip solo, and it's one of the things that makes Born2Travel so special. We all share the same passion for horses and adventure, so it doesn't take long for strangers to become friends. Most people return home with unforgettable memories... and lifelong friendships.
You can book directly through the booking section on this page by paying a €500 deposit. The remaining balance is due 15 days before departure.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure are fully refundable. The trip requires a minimum of 5 participants. If this number is not reached, your full deposit will be refunded.
