The specific itinerary, destination, inclusions, exclusions, accommodation, activities, dates and pricing published for each individual trip form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
Should any conflict arise between these Terms and the information published for a particular trip, the trip-specific information shall prevail only regarding that particular service.
3. Eligibility
To participate in a Born2Travel experience, travellers must:
- be at least 18 years old, unless otherwise authorised by Born2Travel;
- provide accurate and truthful personal information;
- comply with all requirements applicable to the selected trip;
- accept these Terms & Conditions.
Participants confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to take part in the activities included in the experience.

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in the participant being unable to join certain activities without any right to compensation.
4. Rider Weight
Horse welfare is one of Born2Travel’s core values.
Participants weighing more than 90 kg (198 lbs) must inform Born2Travel before making their booking.
Each case will be assessed individually together with our local equestrian partners.
Born2Travel reserves the right to refuse participation in horseback activities where the rider’s weight may compromise the welfare of the horses or the safety of the activity.
Such decisions will always be based on horse welfare and safety considerations.
5. Booking Process
A booking becomes confirmed only once:
- the required deposit has been successfully received; and
- Born2Travel has confirmed the reservation.
The standard deposit is €500 per traveller.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 days before departure.
Born2Travel reserves the right to refuse any booking before confirmation where objective reasons relating to safety, logistics, horse welfare or operational limitations make participation unsuitable.
6. Payment
The €500 deposit may be paid via:
- Stripe
- Bank Transfer
The remaining balance may also be paid through:
- Stripe Payment Link
- Bank Transfer
Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the stated deadline may result in the cancellation of the booking and the application of the cancellation policy described in these Terms.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the following are not included:
- International flights
- Domestic flights
- Visa fees
- Travel insurance
- Meals not listed as included

8. Flights
Unless expressly stated otherwise, international and domestic flights are not included.
Born2Travel is happy to help travellers find suitable flights and may recommend specific flight options to ensure the group travels together.
However, flight bookings are made directly between the traveller and the airline.
Born2Travel accepts no responsibility for:
- flight cancellations;
- delays;
- schedule changes;
- missed connections;
- denied boarding;
- baggage issues;
- airline insolvency;
- or any other matter arising from the contract between the traveller and the airline.
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the flights they book are compatible with the trip itinerary.
9. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Each traveller is solely responsible for ensuring that they possess all documentation required to enter and leave the destination country.
This includes, where applicable:
- a valid passport;
- visas;
- vaccination certificates (if needed);
- health documentation;
- customs declarations;
- or any other official travel requirement.
Born2Travel may provide general guidance regarding entry requirements; however, travellers remain responsible for checking the latest official information issued by the relevant authorities before travelling.
Failure to obtain the necessary documentation shall not entitle the traveller to any refund.
10. Mandatory Travel Insurance
All participants must have valid travel insurance covering the entire duration of the trip.
The insurance policy must include, as a minimum:
- emergency medical assistance;
- medical expenses abroad;
- repatriation;
- accident cover;
- personal liability where applicable.
- Activities included in the trip, especially horse riding.
Born2Travel strongly recommends purchasing insurance that also covers trip cancellation and personal belongings.
Travellers may be asked to provide proof of insurance before departure.
Failure to obtain suitable travel insurance may result in refusal to participate in the trip.
11. Pre-Departure Information
Following confirmation of the booking, Born2Travel will send travellers all relevant pre-departure information, including, where applicable:
- packing recommendations;
- meeting point details;
- accommodation information;
- visa guidance;
- practical travel advice;
- emergency contact details.
It is the traveller’s responsibility to read all information provided before departure.
12. Accommodation
The accommodations shown on our website represent the properties we intend to use at the time of publication.
However, due to availability, operational reasons or circumstances beyond Born2Travel’s control, accommodations may be replaced with others of a similar or higher standard without prior notice.
Such changes shall not entitle travellers to compensation or refunds.
Unless otherwise stated, accommodation is provided in shared twin or triple rooms with other participants of the same gender.
Requests for single rooms are subject to availability and may incur an additional supplement.
13. Itinerary Changes
The itineraries published on the Born2Travel website are intended as a guide and may be modified when necessary.
Born2Travel reserves the right to change:
- the order of activities;
- daily schedules;
- accommodation;
- transportation;
- horseback riding routes;
- guides;
- horses assigned;
- or any other aspect of the itinerary,
whenever necessary for operational, logistical or safety reasons.
Changes may also be required due to:
- weather conditions;
- horse welfare;
- local authority requirements;
- supplier availability;
- road conditions;
- natural events;
- political situations;
- or any other circumstance beyond Born2Travel’s reasonable control.
Whenever possible, any cancelled activity will be replaced by an alternative experience of similar value.
Such modifications shall not constitute a breach of contract and shall not give rise to compensation.
14. Horse Riding Activities
Horse riding is the main activity on many Born2Travel experiences.
By joining one of our trips, participants acknowledge that horse riding is an adventure activity involving inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, even when all reasonable safety measures are taken.
Travellers agree to participate at their own responsibility while following all instructions provided by Born2Travel, local guides and equestrian staff.
15. Riding Level
Participants must accurately describe their horse riding experience during the booking process.
Horse allocation and riding groups are determined according to:
- riding experience;
- confidence level;
- physical ability;
- safety considerations;
- horse welfare.
If Born2Travel or the local guides determine that a participant has overestimated their riding ability, we reserve the right to:
- assign a different horse;
- move the participant to another riding group;
- modify their participation in certain routes;
- restrict participation in faster-paced rides.
These decisions are made solely in the interests of safety and horse welfare.
16. Horse Welfare
Horse welfare is one of Born2Travel’s core principles and will always take priority over the planned itinerary.
For this reason, Born2Travel may decide to:
- shorten a ride;
- modify the route;
- reduce the riding pace;
- change horses;
- cancel part of an activity;
- delay or reschedule an excursion;
whenever this is considered necessary to protect the horses’ health or wellbeing.
Participants agree to treat every horse with kindness, patience and respect at all times.
Any behaviour considered abusive, negligent or disrespectful towards an animal may result in immediate removal from the activity or from the entire trip without any refund.
17. Safety Equipment
The use of riding helmets depends on the regulations of each destination, the local equestrian provider and the assessment of Born2Travel.
Whenever helmets are required, participants must wear them throughout the activity. Where the use of a helmet is optional, the decision to wear one rests entirely with the participant, who accepts full responsibility for that choice and any associated risks.
Travellers agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the local guides and Born2Travel coordinators.
Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in exclusion from the activity.
18. Alcohol & Drugs
The consumption of alcohol or drugs before or during any horseback riding activity is strictly prohibited.
Born2Travel and the local guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any traveller who appears to be under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances or medication that may impair their judgement or physical ability.
Such decisions are final and will not entitle the traveller to any refund.
19. Traveller Conduct
All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards:
- fellow travellers;
- Born2Travel coordinators;
- local guides;
- accommodation staff;
- local communities;
- horses and other animals.
Travellers must respect local customs, cultures and laws throughout the experience.
Any behaviour that negatively affects the safety, wellbeing or enjoyment of others may lead to removal from activities or from the trip itself.
20. Right to Remove a Traveller
Born2Travel reserves the right to remove any participant from a trip without refund if they:
- seriously breach these Terms & Conditions;
- repeatedly ignore safety instructions;
- endanger themselves or others;
- mistreat a horse or any other animal;
- behave aggressively or violently;
- damage property intentionally;
- discriminate against or harass other participants or local staff;
- participate in activities under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- seriously disrupt the group experience.
If a traveller is removed from the trip, they shall be responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation, transport and return journey.
Born2Travel shall have no further responsibility towards that traveller.
21. Medical Conditions
Travellers are responsible for informing Born2Travel before departure of any medical condition that could affect their participation.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- allergies;
- asthma;
- diabetes;
- epilepsy;
- heart conditions;
- recent injuries;
- pregnancy;
- reduced mobility;
- mental health conditions requiring assistance;
- or any other relevant medical issue.
Born2Travel reserves the right to request additional information where necessary to assess whether participation can be carried out safely.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in exclusion from certain activities without compensation.
22. Personal Belongings
Travellers are solely responsible for their personal belongings throughout the trip.
Born2Travel accepts no liability for:
- lost luggage;
- stolen items;
- damaged personal equipment;
- passports;
- cash;
- electronic devices;
- cameras;
- riding equipment brought by the traveller.
We strongly recommend that all valuables are covered by travel insurance.
23. Cancellation by the Traveller
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@born2travel.com.
The following cancellation policy applies:
- More than 30 days before departure: the amounts paid will be refunded, except for any non-recoverable costs already incurred by Born2Travel with third-party suppliers on behalf of the traveller.
- 30 days or less before departure: no refund will be issued.
- No-show: if the traveller fails to join the trip without prior notice, no refund will be provided.
Requests to change departure dates or transfer a booking to another trip are subject to availability and may only be accepted at Born2Travel’s discretion.
24. Cancellation by Born2Travel
Born2Travel reserves the right to cancel a trip before departure if:
- the minimum number of participants required for the trip (5) is not reached;
- exceptional operational circumstances prevent the safe delivery of the experience;
- force majeure makes the trip impossible or unsafe.
If Born2Travel cancels a trip before departure, travellers will receive a full refund of all payments made directly to Born2Travel.
Born2Travel shall not be responsible for reimbursing any additional expenses independently incurred by the traveller, including but not limited to:
- international or domestic flights;
- travel insurance;
- visa fees;
- accommodation booked outside the itinerary;
- airport transfers;
- or any other third-party services.
25. Minimum Group Size
All Born2Travel experiences require a minimum number of five participants.
If this minimum is not reached, Born2Travel reserves the right to cancel the departure.
Whenever possible, travellers will be informed sufficiently in advance and may choose between:
- a full refund; or
- transferring their booking to another available departure.
26. Force Majeure
Born2Travel shall not be liable for failure to perform its contractual obligations where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control.
Force majeure includes, but is not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- floods;
- earthquakes;
- wildfires;
- pandemics or epidemics;
- war;
- terrorism;
- civil unrest;
- government restrictions;
- border closures;
- closure of airspace;
- strikes;
- severe weather conditions;
- or any other unforeseeable event that makes the trip unsafe or impossible to operate.
Where possible, Born2Travel will offer travellers one of the following options:
- rescheduling the trip;
- transferring the booking to another departure;
- transferring the amount paid to another Born2Travel experience.
27. Changes During the Trip
Certain activities may need to be modified or cancelled during the trip due to circumstances beyond Born2Travel’s control.
These may include:
- weather conditions;
- horse welfare;
- local authority decisions;
- safety concerns;
- supplier availability;
- road conditions;
- natural events.
Whenever possible, Born2Travel will provide an alternative activity of similar value.
The cancellation or modification of an individual activity shall not entitle the traveller to a refund where the overall trip can continue as planned.
28. Traveller Responsibility
Each traveller is personally responsible for:
- complying with the laws of the destination country;
- carrying valid travel documents;
- arriving at meeting points on time;
- following the instructions of Born2Travel coordinators and local guides;
- taking reasonable care of their own safety;
- respecting horses, local communities and fellow travellers.
Travellers are responsible for any costs resulting from their own negligence or failure to comply with these obligations.
29. Limitation of Liability
Born2Travel acts with reasonable care and diligence in organising each experience.
However, Born2Travel shall not be liable for losses, damages, delays or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
- airline disruptions;
- third-party supplier failures;
- weather conditions;
- government actions;
- political events;
- natural disasters;
- force majeure;
- acts or omissions of the traveller.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion would be unlawful under applicable legislation.
30. Complaints
If a traveller experiences any issue during the trip, they must inform the Born2Travel coordinator as soon as reasonably possible.
This allows Born2Travel the opportunity to resolve the matter during the trip whenever possible.
Any complaint submitted after the trip should be sent in writing to:
hello@born2travel.com
within a reasonable period after the end of the experience.
31. Image & Video Rights
During the trip, photographs and videos may be taken for operational purposes.
Any commercial or promotional use of a traveller’s image will only take place if the traveller has signed Born2Travel’s separate Image & Video Release Agreement.
Refusing permission to use images will not affect the traveller’s participation in the experience.

Further information regarding the processing of personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
34. Amendments
Born2Travel reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions whenever necessary.
The version published on our website at the time of booking shall apply to each reservation.
Changes made after a booking has been confirmed will not affect that booking unless required by law or agreed with the traveller.
35. Severability
